# Vicky Charitou

Vicky volgt momenteel de opleiding tot Europees octrooigemachtigde in het vakgebied life sciences, met een focus op farmaceutica en biotechnologie. Zij heeft een sterke achtergrond in de biologie, met expertise in microbiologie, moleculaire biologie en infectieziekten.

Vicky behaalde haar MSc in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences aan de Universiteit Utrecht. Vervolgens promoveerde zij in de microbiologie aan het Amsterdam UMC, waar haar onderzoek zich richtte op de ontdekking van nieuwe antibiotica tegen infectieziekten, met bijzondere aandacht voor tuberculose.

Na afronding van haar promotieonderzoek is Vicky in dienst getreden bij HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER. Haar wetenschappelijke achtergrond vormt een solide basis voor het adviseren over complexe octrooivraagstukken op het snijvlak van life sciences en innovatie.
